Marc Boothe

Founder/ Creative Producer


Marc is Founder and creative catalyst of B3 Media, a leading media arts network which has supported over 3,000 BAME creative artists over the last five years, across film, visual arts, new media and spoken word. He produces Talentlab, a successful talent development incubator programme for emerging creative artists and producers. He recently produced L8 Unseen for the Museum of Liverpool, a ground-breaking cross-platform storytelling project based on stories from the Liverpool 8 area (Toxteth), which was seen by over 420,000 visitors. In May 2016, he also produced Gambiarra Lab a social change digital lab and installation project with 14 Brazilian artists in Maré - one of the largest favelas in Rio.

Previously, Marc worked as a Senior Executive at UK Film Council (New Cinema Fund) and the Bank of England. He has previously served as a trustee of key arts and cultural organisations including: Film London (Founding Board Member), Camden Arts, EM Media, Institute of International Visual Arts (Iniva), Institute of Contemporary Arts, and Firstlight Movies (now Into Film). He has also served on the advisory committee for Arts Council England Digital and Arts Policy Groups, the Mayor’s Commission on the Creative Industries, and the British Council’s Young Creative Entrepreneurs programme.

Marc holds an MBA, is also a (voting) member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), the recipient of a NESTA Fellowship award (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts), winner of the Lambeth/ Shell Best Cultural and Creative Business Award and a finalist for the 2012 Genesis Prize, which recognises outstanding mentors of young artistic talent.
