On Sunday 14th May 2017 Lula Mebrahtu shared a special preview of her work in progress currently being developed through B3 TalentLab LulaBOX.
"On the 14th of May, I did a scratch show made up from extracts out of the live LulaBOX segment at a pop-up space in Dalston called BlknNappy. It was great to test out ideas and uncover elements of the story through the process of sharing and see how the audience engage with this way of storytelling/presenting music. It was interesting to test the perameters of the gloves in a performance setting and experience how I problem solve when things go ‘wrong’ in front of an audience.
LulaBOX, a journey through story, sound and wearable tech ft. MiMu gloves (a new, special breed of instrument, the brainchild of Imogen Heap, which has grown, developed and is maturing nicely in my care)."
