B3 TalentLab is a bespoke talent development programme aimed at Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) artists and filmmakers, run in conjunction with Arts Council England, Creative Skillset and Nottingham University’s Horizon/ Mixed Reality Labs.
TalentLab offers writers and directors a unique opportunity to re-assess their professional practice, refine their skills, and gain the confidence and contacts to push their careers and projects to the next level.
The following 11 artist with cross-platform/ transmedia fiction, moving image and visual art projects have received development support from us over the last 12 months or more.
This is an eclectic cohort of storytellers with distinctive voices and track records in visual and digital arts, film, theatre and spoken word.
In the coming months, each participant will embark on an amazing journey that started with the spark of an idea and a blank page. They will complete their journey armed with the skills, knowledge, industry contacts and more importantly pilot projects (ranging from feature scripts and short films to evocative storyboards) to take each of them to the next level and beyond.
They represent the ‘next wave’ of UK talent coming to a screen, gallery, or online platform near you very soon!
